We made it

Yeah!! We made it through the first day of school. I was up and out of the house by 7:05 this morning to get WEB leaders pumped up and excited for their day with 6th graders. Cheryl (what would I do without her) got the girls ready and took them to school. She has some adorable pictures of the girls all ready for school on her blog. The girls loved their first day of school. Tori thought her teacher was pretty funny and she thinks she will have a lot of fun in his class. Emma liked her teacher as well. She was pretty impressed by her teacher and all of the outdoor activities that she does when not at school. She was also shocked that her teacher thinks recess and PE are as important as math and english. After school, I had volleyball practice. My girls met me there. Tori then went home with Cheryl. Should have been Mark but he ended up with a ticket to the races so off he went, so thanks again Cheryl. My mom took Emma to dance from volleyball practice. I had practice until after 5:00, but one girl ended up without a ride for 30 minutes because her dad thought it ended later. I then picked up Emma a little late from dance, went to get Tori, took Emma to Dairy Queen for dinner and then returned home at 6:20 pm.

I am exhausted but am so thankful for friends that help, girls who can go with the flow, and an early bedtime.

Your words are very kind...thank you! We had a really smooth morning and I loved hearing about all their first days. I just enjoy it while we can because at some point they won't let us walk them to their classrooms, take pictures, and then give them a hug good bye. Get some sleep!

Your first day sounds as crazy as mine - but instead of those girly activities we had football practice and car troubles. Glad to hear that everyone had a great day and like Cheryl, I hope you get some sleep. I need to do the same!
