Creek Walks

Lonnie, Cheryl and family and Mark, I and family have gone done to the the creek the last couple of evenings. The first night no one had good creek shoes so we just checked things out. But everyone loved being down there and wanted to come back. The next day we all remembered our creek shoes and decided to walk up the creek. We had no idea what we would find or what it would be like. Everyone was having such a great time that we just kept on going. We made it all the way to the covered bridge. At that point we climbed up to the road. I'm sure we were a sight. Four girls in swimsuits and four adults. Two of us were wet. Lonnie because he chose to and me because I fell. To me the rocks were very slick. At one point I felt I was on ice, I could not get my footing at all and in I went. Mark was behind me and yelled to everyone, "hurry, turn around look at Michelle". Thanks Mark.

Yesterday, everyone wanted to go back. We decided to walk downstream this time. I didn't fall this time. We came up out of the creek at the main road. I'm sure that was a sight. This time Emma had a friend with her so there were 5 girls in swimsuits. We laughed at how we must have been a sight. I did like going upstream better than downstream. It somehow seemed a little cleaner. There were bigger rocks to walk on and some deeper pools. I am really enjoying these creek walks.

We all have been enjoying our evening adventures. I love how you describe us coming 'out of the creek'...like we live down there :)

I'm so jealous ~ our creek is just a mosquito pit, if there's any water at all. Which with triple digit temps the last week . . . there's none! Happy belated Birthday by the way! *smile*
