Emma got to have her cousin Kaitlyn over for the day. Kaitlyn is the daughter of my cousin.
I just happened to go out where her grandma works and she was there. I asked if she wanted to come home with me to play with Emma. She said sure. I was a little surprised since this would be only the third time I've even ever seen her. She would only remember this as her second time.

The girls had a great day. They cracked each other up. There was a lot of laughter. They played at the house and then we went to the elementary school to play there. It was fun to see them together. I have such great memories playing with Kaitlyn's mom when we were this age. These two reminded me of us.

After dinner we went blueberry picking at the same place we have gone for the last few years. We were later in the month than we usually are and the berries didn't seem as wonderful. Emma and I went looking for raspberries and found marionberries. We got a whole pail full. I am looking forward to the berry cobbler. I don't really do cobbler. I love the white cake mix poured over the top that is drizzled with butter. Yum. Jim was the ultimate blueberry picker and picked more than any of us.

Here are the blueberry pickers. They are growing up so quick. I think both of them are just beautiful.

Looking at this picture makes me realize how much Tori is growing. She still has not come to the place where she wants to help pick the berries. She didn't end up with even one berry in her bucket. She found a branch, sat under it and filled herself with berries. There was a boy that had helped at mom's VBS there. Tori had a great time chasing him through the rows.

I can't believe how beautiful Emma looks in this picture. She was a great help picking the marionberries, even if she did get poked quite a bit.

Great blueberry patch pics. The part that is so funny is the coats everyone is wearing...usually it is so warm when we go berry picking.
These are great pictures and yes, the girls are sure growing up fast. By the way, the cobbler was GREAT!
I'm glad you went berry picking with us. Next year we will go earlier in the season.
Kaitlyn looks a lot like her mom did at that age.
Gramma
I am blessed to have a neighbor with 3 blueberry bushes that have kept up with berries all summer. Great pictures.
