Horse Racing and Dinner

The first Saturday since school got out. What to fill it with? Lonnie and Cheryl suggested horse racing and dinner. Sounded great to us, so off we went. We all headed south to the horse races. We let Emma and Tori pick which horses to bet on. Wouldn't you know it, Emma did better than Mark or I. Of course she thought she should keep all of her winnings, even though it was mommy's money that was paying for the bets.

The girls were troopers. There is quite a bit of time between races and not a lot to do, but they had no problems entertaining themselves.

After the races we headed farther south to Olive Garden for dinner. Always such great food.

They said it would be about 40 minutes before we would be seated so Cheryl, Aubrey and I headed for a quick walk through of Old Navy. Lonnie, Mark and the other girls decided to check out Sportsman Warehouse. When we got to Old Navy Aubrey found the front mannequin, stood beside it, and held its hand. Luckily, since taking on this blog, I had my camera with me and got a shot of her. She is such a silly girl. She always looks for the laugh. I just adore her sense of humor.

After dinner it was off to the mall. Emma found out that Payless Shoes has a size 5 in women's that she can wear. She had a great time trying on shoes. I think this was the first time ever that I tired of trying on shoes BEFORE she did. She told me looking at shoes was fun there because there are so many to choose from. Oh good. I wonder what I have started. I think my shoes budget will need to be increased. Needless to say, we bought two pairs. They really are super cute.

I think it sounds like a great day. I have to laugh about how we think about picture taking for our blogs.

I'm with you on the camera everywhere! However, you have to remember to replace the memory card, so no pics of our Dad's day lunch today. Bummer! *frown*
My little girl is going to have a shoe fetish too! She's constantly changing them when she sees a new pair ~ hers or not! *smile*
