Great Weekend

Don't have any pictures to go with my post yet, but I wanted to share about the weekend before it was way in the past. It was such a great weekend. Friday, I spent the day cleaning the house. I didn't have to work since it was a cut day. In the afternoon Mark and I both played some baseball with the girls and then did some yard work. There are just so many weeds. Feels a little overwhelming at times.

Saturday we headed to a local carnival and jet boat races. We went with Lonnie and Cheryl and Bill and Melissa. That made 6 girls. They are all the perfect ages, not too old that they find their parents boring, but not too little that they have to be in strollers and can't do much. The girls got along so well and spent the day riding as many rides as they could. Everyone was tired and a little red by the end of the day. We went out to Mexican food before we came home. It was a great time.

Sunday, Lonnie and Cheryl had a BBQ at their house. Such a great time. We had a balloon toss with our spouses. Mark and I lasted the longest, although I think he was shocked that I was able to catch it. We also had a balloon toss with the kids. During the last balloon toss, Lonnie and some of the other parents popped water balloons over the top of the kids head. This then started a huge water balloon fight. Too funny. Everyone was wet. When it was time to clean up, Mark popped one on my back when I wasn't paying attention. Needless to say I was soaked.

It really was a great weekend. Now I am making group and bus lists for the overnight trip that I am taking the students on. Should be fun.
